A year of partnership and shared passion
One of the country’s top five accounting, auditing and advisory firms Reyes Tacandong & Co. (RT&Co.) led by its chairman Manny Reyes and chief operating officer Cocoy Tacandong hosted a cocktail reception in honor of Mazars Group president and chief executive officer Patrick de Cambourg. The occasion also marked the first anniversary of RT&Co. as the Philippine correspondent of Mazar, an international and independent organization with more than 13,000 professionals in 61 countries. Reyes said, “one of our key objectives is to be recognized for our expertise and our values. More importantly, to be acknowledged worldwide as a Filipino firm that stands proud and steadfast in the age of globalization. It is in this relatively short journey that we forged a correspondent agreement with Mazars, one of the world’s leading firms, and an organization that shares our passion and our distinct value system and more importantly, respects our proud Filipino identity.” De Cambourg, on his part, said, “You clearly understand why Mazars and Reyes Tacandong & Co. are so closely related. Two people and relationship centric organizations plus a meeting of minds sharing the same values: this is the secret recipe!” He congratulated Reyes and the entire RT & Co. team for the achievements of the first year and further said, “This is the demonstration that we were right to choose each other.” Only a year in operation, RT&Co.’s workforce has already grown tenfold to 200 employees and the firm continues to hire to fill in the requirements for the incoming tax season. Held at The Peninsula Manila hotel, the affair was well attended by industry leaders and executives from top corporations and the government sector. Mazars head of Asia Pacific (AP) and senior advisor to the Group Executive Board John Mellows and the country heads of Mazars AP operations also graced the occasion. Congratulations to the partners and principals of RT&Co.!
