Recognizing one of the country's finest leaders

With his decades of remarkable leadership and laudable contributions to the country, visionary Lopez Group of Companies chairman emeritus Oscar Lopez was recently conferred the 2011 Ramon V. del Rosario, Sr. (RVR) Award for Nation Building given during a ceremony at Tower Club in Makati City. The award, a project of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manila is a tribute to the late industrialist and diplomat Ramon V. del Rosario, Sr. that aims to recognize leaders who epitomize the ambassador’s outstanding traits in terms of entrepreneurial responsibility, corporate citizenship and service to nation. It was no surprise that the esteemed board of judges unanimously selected Oscar Lopez as this year’s awardee. Congratulations!

An enchanting night of music and festivity

A tribute to Philippine Theater

The International University Theater Association (IUTA) headed by its Executive Director, renowned director Nick Lizaso, recently acknowledged some of the Philippines’ most talented and sought after personalities of theater through a special awarding ceremony held at the Miriam College. The affair, entitled Gawad Parangal sa Tampok na Yaman ng Teatrong Pilipino, was the grand finale of a three day IUTA festival-conference-workshop. Guest of honor, Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) president doctor Raul Sunico, and Miriam College vice president for Academic Affairs doctor Glenda Fortes assisted in handing out the prestigious awards.
