Franchising to boost GoodAh presence in Luzon

-

MANILA, Philippines - Cravings of grumbling stomachs don’t have to wait just to make it gastronomically satisfied. Thus, foodies who want to have a fill of delicious traditional merienda at noon or breakfast meals during the wee hours of the morning know where to go literally anytime whenever they’re hungry – GoodAh!!!

GoodAh!!! is the forerunner of 24/7 quick service restaurant operations for classic Filipino food since 1983. It popularized the silog (ensemble of fried garlic rice, egg and viand) set meals and served classic Pinoy snacks such as goto or porridge with cow’s tripe gruel; arrozcaldo or porridge with chicken meat; tokwa’t baboy, which is basically beancurd and fried pork; pares, which is essentially rice topped with sliced beef dripping in special sauce; and dinuguan, a concoction of savory stew of blood and pork meat.

“We want GoodAh!!! to be of uninterruptible service in serving delectable quality food that many can afford,” explains Timothy Yang, president and general manager of Soyamensa Inc.

He continues, “Its al fresco feel and casual dining environment also welcomes everyone regardless of socio-economic status.”

Embodying its vision to be the Philippines’ favorite restaurant famous for having the best quality food at the best value for money, GoodAh!!! embodies it through household specialties loved by people from all walks of life, which include charbroiled chicken, BBQ liempo (pork belly), leche flan, sweet banana, halo-halo and more that appeals to diners’ discerning palates.

Ramona Cruz, 27-year-old call center agent is grateful that GoodAh!!! now has a branch along Congressional Avenue in Quezon City. “Working for a business process outsourcing company entails schedule movements, but we just shrug our shoulders every time it happens, for GoodAh!!! is always open no matter what our shifts are and no matter how hungry we are,” explains Cruz.

She adds, “Its food are not only appetizing, it also makes us feel connected and safe because of WiFi and CCTV cameras around.”

Marco Andres, 38-year-old sales marketer recalls, on the other hand, how he and his friends frequent GoodAh!!! He says, “Every night out, me and my friends bond and drink until early morning. It’s only GoodAh!!! that we want to go to after our catch-up stories for hot goto and quick-served tapsilog (beef jerky, fried garlic rice and egg).”

The restaurant was acquired by a new management group called Soyamensa Inc. back in 2009. From thereon, the group introduced a massive facelift to its structure, operations and policies, including creating expansion programs to further introduce the food brand synonymous to local culture and catchy phrases like “pagkaing good for every-all” and “open 25 hours.”

The owners sail their hopes high that through franchising, its current 10 branches located in high-traffic areas of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Batangas and Cavite will soon increase in Luzon.

At present new stores are planned for business districts in Makati and Pasig, and highly-dense locations like the Araneta Center in Cubao and the University Belt in Manila where it will cater to the food requirements of business professionals and students, respectively.

A GoodAh!!! franchise offers an attractive franchising package with a payback period between 18 to 36 months – feasible gain time for a business that sells itself.
