Recently, the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC), the only 5-star hotel in Cebu City led by gracious hosts – dynamic general manager Hans Hauri and lovely wife Bo, became the perfect dining venue for the delegates of the 39th SKAL Asian Congress where members of the organization from all over the world came together.
Held at the hotel’s plush Grand Ballroom, the event spearheaded by SKAL International vice president Tony Boyle together with SKAL International Asia president Gerry Perez and SKAL Club of Cebu president Charles Lim, became a gathering of local and international guests who delighted in a splendid night of strengthening relationships, interesting exchange of ideas, and warm Filipino hospitality.
During the evening, SKAL Makati also honored tourism personalities who have lived up and contributed to the growth of the Philippine travel industry through its 21st Tourism Personality Awards. The deserving awardees included Hans Hauri as “Hotel Personality of the Year”, Isabel de Leon as “Media Personality of the Year for Print” and Maria Soledad Barria as “Travel & Tour Operator Personality of the Year,” among others. Another successful event indeed that only Marco Polo Plaza Cebu can deliver!
