Expo marks rise of prestigious brands as business gift options
MANILA, Philippines - The fast growing corporate and consumer markets for business gifts have inspired makers of prestigious brands to bat for their share of the action.
These brands, mostly geared as gifts for equally prestigious executives and clients, are taking part in what used to be a monopoly of purely non-traditional and innovative products.
But the market for gifts for various occasions has grown so big that suppliers of even world-renowned brands have taken notice. They include international names like Samsonite, Parker, Timex, Cross, Victorinox, Delsey, Coleman and Rudy Project; and home-grown brands like Tieline, Team Manila and Manel’s Leathergoods, among thousands of others, which will go on exhibit at Corporate Giveaways slated at the A Venue Events Hall of Antel Lifestyle City on Makati Avenue in Makati on July 7-9.
Organized by World Expos & Concepts (Worldexco), Corporate Giveaways is the country’s biggest and longest-running annual international buyers’ show on business gifts, premiums, promotional ideas and merchandise incentives.
“This year’s Corporate Giveaways will virtually show the surge of this growing business gifts industry as a result of market expansion driven by new marketing imperatives,” said Worldexco general manager Raquel Romero.
Now on its 23rd year, Corporate Giveaways 2010 includes raffle promos and free seminars on “The Winning Image” by Abbygale Arenas-de Leon of Personi-fi Image Consultancy, and “Functional Fitness for Corporate Wellness” by Xandro Fitness and Sport Training Services, among others.
The event also features Corporate Solutions and the F&B Gifts Lane.
Corporate Solutions 2010 is the 7th yearly trade exhibit on marketing support services, business solutions, office equipment, and supplies and uniforms, while the F&B Gifts Lane is an annual showcase and sampling of year-round food and beverage gift options.
All under one roof, the three events bring together professionals, entrepreneurs and executives involved in purchasing, market research and development, advertising and promotions, public relations and communications, events and brand management, customer relations, e-commerce, sales and marketing, business development, and human resources.
At least 75 percent of the event’s visitors last year were from top management, and 80 percent of the exhibitors generated booked orders on site.
Corporate Giveaways 2010 is supported by Chase Technologies, Sign Media, Sidann Printing, Bravo, 88.db and VCargo as event partners, philstar.com as online partner, and BusinessWorld, 88.3, Wave 89.1, Magic 89.9, 99.3 RT, and Max FM as media partners.
