Dancing with the TOPS
Everyone danced to the beat of a good cause as TOPS Foundation a non-profit, private civic organization licensed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to operate as a child care & family unit, recently held two events – the foundation’s 40th fundraising gala dinner dance and Cocoy Laurel’s concert. Held at the main ballroom of the Manila Polo Club, the successful event was led by Guilly Rufino and TOPS Foundation chaired by retired justice Carolina Aquino and president lawyer Ester Sison Cruz. It was indeed a night of musical extravaganza as Lena McKenzie, a 19-year-old Fil-Canadian soprano and the incomparable Cocoy Laurel regaled guests with their superb performances while the Sound Stream band played great music that had everyone merrily dancing till the wee hours.
