Creating a buzz in the art scene and the hotel industry, Resorts World Manila (RWM), the country’s newest and most exciting commercial and entertainment hub in Newport City in Pasay through its chief executive officer Thuy Trinh and executive vice-president Peter Foster recently unveiled the Maxims Tower before art lovers and distinguished guests in the lobby of the Maxims Hotel and Casino. “Resorts World Manila is not only a place for exciting gaming, great food and high-caliber entertainment; it also houses important art collections such as the Maxims Tower, the only Dale Chihuly art piece in the Philippines,” says Travellers International president Kingson Sian. Made by the award-winning, internationally-renowned artist Dale Chihuly, the beautiful masterpiece is an awe-inspiring 4-meter tall glass sculpture which came from the collection of and donated by Genting Group chief executive officer Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay. A party for two
A happy and colorful birthday party in honor of two rare gems, Anna Sobrepeña and Vicky Zubiri, was held recently at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel’s Shang Palace. Hosted by close friend Lulu Tan Gan, a gathering of cherished well-wishers greeted the lovely celebrators with more prosperous years. Great food and felicitations were in generous amounts! An empowering seminar
To better serve its members and further improve the management skills of its Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Friends for Cultural Concerns of the Philippines (FCCP) led by president Minerva Tanseco, recently initiated a seminar conducted by management seminar specialist Mylene Cristobal.
