Business As Usual

WCC 'opens the sky' for aspiring flight attendants

-

MANILA, Philippines -The aviation industry – particularly in Asia and the Middle East – has remained resilient in the face of the global financial crisis which has seen economies crashing around the world. In fact, the Philippine airline industry is even enjoying expansion plans brought about by significant market demand coming from the unprecedented growth in domestic tourism as well as travelers taking advantage of the affordable rates offered by local airline companies.

With this, the clamor for airline professionals such as pilots, flight attendants, aircraft mechanics, is on the upswing. But even with the huge demand, not everyone is immediately hired for these key positions. Airline companies implement stringent requirements when it comes to hiring flight attendants since they are the “face” of the airline to the passengers.

In the Philippines, WCC Flight Attendant School has been paving the way and opening the doors for its graduates to be hired by top local and international airline companies. In fact, the school is proud to cite a couple of graduates from its 45-day training course who are now employed as flight attendants at various airlines.

WCC’s flight attendant training course consists of five modules that deal extensively with various aspects, such as personality development and image enhancement. Aircraft basics are also taught. Students are likewise required to undergo land and water drills and different emergency procedures.

Since WCC Flight Attendant School is also part of a credible institution – the WCC Aviation Company which has its own airport in Binalonan, Pangasinan – graduates are assured of the best training that is at par with the top airlines. The classes at WCC are composed of only a maximum of 25 students in order to maintain the effectiveness and quality of instruction.

Undergoing training at WCC gives the graduates an advantage over the rest because it assures the employer that the graduates are well-trained and knowledgeable, and that they will not fail the training once they are hired. Thus, hiring a WCC graduate is cost-efficient for the airline.

The WCC Flight Attendant School is operated under the WCC Aviation Company, established in 2005 and headed by president and CEO Captain Ramon V. Guico, III, who is also presently the Vice Mayor of Binalonan, Pangasinan.

The WCC Flight Attendant School is located at Unit 104 G/F AIC Gold Tower, F. Ortigas Ave., cor. Garnet Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. For more information, call 687-5790/ 0929-5918304 or e-mail: [email protected]. You may also visit the Web site at www.wccaviation.com.
