For the truly wealthy, it’s no longer just a question of how much to invest, but also where to invest. Citibank Philippines, the country’s leading foreign bank, recently launched a new series of talks for clients of Citigold, its wealth management banking service, to get acquainted with other investment options, apart from bond funds and equity funds.
“One of the challenges in managing wealth is how to invest for better return without taking excessive risks. At Citigold, we put in a lot of time and resources to help our clients make informed decisions that are aligned with their investment goals,” explained Judith Go, Citigold wealth management director for Citibank Phils. The Citigold talks featured speakers from Citicorp Financial Services and Insurance Brokerage Phils., ING Investment Management and resource persons on investing in arts, antiques and real estate.
The talks kicked off with a briefing held at Mandarin Oriental Manila for clients based in Makati. This was followed by briefings hosted in EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Cebu Marriott Hotel, Citibank Binondo and Citibank Alabang branches. Citigold clients heard the benefits and risks of investing in funds and equities from Ramon Melchor Tejero, research and portfolio strategy head of Citicorp Financial Services and Insurance Brokerage Phils. and Michael Goco of ING Investment Management.
Clients were also presented investment opportunities in either arts, antiques or real estate from speakers that included Ramon Villegas of Yamang Katutubo jewelry, art and antiques gallery, Vita Sarenas, owner of Finale Art File, one of the country’s most respected galleries, and Prof. Danilo Antonio, chief executive of Land-Excel Consulting and a member of the core faculty of the Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE) of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). After the enlightening discussions, Citibank gave away raffle prizes to guests, which included limited edition Citibank watches and gift certificates.
