UCPB’s new president meets branch heads

The head office lobby of United Coconut Planters Bank was bursting with employees–the female staff visibly more excited than their male counterparts–when new president Jose Querubin and executive vice-president Andrew Alcid walked in. With the help of vice-president and Greater Manila head David Mercado, Mr. Querubin made it a point to shake the hand of each branch manager who attended.

In his first official talk before Cocobankers, Mr. Querubin talked about his vision for the bank–to be the best bank for clients by providing the best service in the most inexpensive way possible.

As part of its recapitalization, UCPB will receive P20 billion from the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. MJGrey
