MANILA, Philippines — During the period of high worldwide inflation, many people decided to tighten their belts and look for ways to save money. However, Picodi’s data shows that over a third of Filipinos don’t know about cashback as a money-saving tool.

Picodi.com is an international e-commerce platform, mostly known for its coupon and discount codes. Its analyst team conducted a survey among Filipino consumers to check their attitudes towards saving money and shopping online.

It turns out that although 82% of Filipinos try their best to save money and use different ways to be economical, over a third (34%) don’t know about and don’t use cashback.

Only 22% of surveyed users use cashback regularly, which means that most online shoppers are unaware of the benefits of such services.

Picodi has been offering coupons and discount codes to its users in the Philippines since 2015. Last year, the company introduced its cashback service to help people save even more!

Users who create a free account and enable the cashback feature before each purchase can enjoy benefits such as:

  • Up to 15% cashback on the first purchase with Picodi

  • Up to 10% cashback on all further purchases

  • Possibility of earning money through the referral system—each referral grants both the inviter and the invitee P100 and can be used without limits

  • Possibility of combining cashback with discount codes to save even more money.

The service is easy to use and completely free. Apart from the website, Picodi is also available as a Chrome extension, which automatically applies available discount codes and notifies about cashback availability.

For mobile users, Picodi is also available on iOS and Android phones.

Why does Picodi pay its users money? For each user brought to the shop, Picodi earns commission, which is then shared with our users.

Picodi offers its cashback service and discount codes in over 60 stores operating in the Philippines, such as Zalora, Shopee, Lazada, Booking.com and Foodpanda.

Money saved thanks to cashback can be withdrawn to a bank account, PayPal or Binance.
