British companies see limited lockdowns as COVID-19 cases rise in the Philippines as the more balanced approach to managing the spread of the virus while allowing economic activity.
Chris Nelson, executive director of the British Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, said a return to complete lockdowns under an "enchanced community status" is out of the question if businesses are to continue operating.
"The way forward as it's rightly stated is a granular approach. What we're looking for as business is to keep moving forward," Nelson said in an interview on ANC.
Nelson said business also have to be conscious of maintaining health protocols as they work with government agencies, specifically the Department of Trade and Industry, on campaigns to provied COVID-19 testing and vaccines.
