MANILA, Philippines – The China Banking Corp. has opened the final 10 branches scheduled for the year, all in Metro Manila, bringing the combined branch network to 517 nationwide – 352 China Bank and 165 China Bank Savings.
The bank opened three branches in Manila, two each in Quezon City and Parañaque, and one each in Makati, Pasig, and San Juan. To date, there are 175 China Bank branches in Metro Manila.
In Manila, where the bank’s head office used to be, there are now 32 branches with the opening of Lavezares, Oroquieta and Manila-Maceda branches.
In the largest city in Metro Manila, Quezon City, newly opened Holy Spirit Drive and Cubao-P. Tuazon branches bring the number of China Bank branches there to 51.
In Parañaque, the new branches are Parañaque-Moonwalk and Solemare branches. China Bank now has eight branches serving the banking needs of residents and businesses there.
China Bank also opened Makati-J.P. Rizal Branch, its 21st branch in Makati; Pasig-San Joaquin branch, the 12th China Bank branch in Pasig City; and Greenhills-Connecticut branch, its 6th in San Juan City.
The new Metro Manila branches offer a full range of banking products and services from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., and are each equipped with an ATM to serve customers beyond banking hours.
In 2015, a total of 47 branches were opened – 38 China Bank, including these new branches, and nine for China Bank Savings.
The bank plans to open 50 branches for the main bank and 16 for the savings bank in 2016.
China Bank also offers bancassurance and insurance brokerage services through its subsidiaries China Bank Manulife Life Assurance Corp. (MCBLife) and China Bank Insurance Brokerage Inc., respectively, and a range banking products and services for the retail and SME (small and medium enterprises) markets through China Bank Savings.
