UCPB plays host to IT professionals

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The United Coconut Planters Bank has hosted the Information Security Officers Group meeting and dialogue recently with representatives of Japan’s Center for Financial Industry Information System at the executive dining room of UCPB’s corporate office. The event was an opportunity for ISOG officers and members, composed of chief information security officers from various financial institutions, to establish relations with FISC and learn more about the latest information technology security regulations of Asean and Asia Pacific countries. FISC was established in 1984 to conduct research on diverse topics such as technology, utilization, control and threat/defense to financial information systems, focusing not only on the current situation in Japan and neighboring countries but also on developing issues and future prospects.  Contributors come from financial institutions, insurance companies, securities firms, computer manufacturers and telecommunications companies.
