UCPB lauded for ATM service

MANILA, Philippines - The United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) was recognized by MegaLink as one of the banks which provided exemplary performance in its automated teller machine (ATM) business in 2014. The award is bestowed upon the bank with the highest reply rating and the highest host availability. The highest reply rating award is given to the top three banks with the highest response time while the highest host availability award is given to the top three banks with the least downtime in ATM transactions. Not to be outdone, UCPB Savings Bank (USB), a subsidiary of UCPB, was recognized by BancNet for financial inclusion particularly in operating ATMs in remote locations, namely Numancia in Aklan, Aloran in Misamis Occidental, Caramoan in Camarines Sur, La Castellana in Negros Occidental, Sta. Ignacia in Tarlac, and Tuburan in Cebu. The thrift bank was also awarded as the top outsourcing bank with the most number of ATMs in production and highest total volume of transactions in 2014. The bank was also recognized as the top outsourcing bank in inter-bank fund transfer (IBFT) transactions and outsourcing bank with top performing ATM in Luzon which is located in Libmanan, Camarines Sur. UCPB has 338 ATMs (296 from UCPB and 42 from UCPB Savings Bank) deployed in UCPB and USB branches and other offsite locations.
