Smart giving away P1M to mobile money users

MANILA, Philippines - Smart Money, the leading mobile money service of wireless services leader Smart Communications Inc. (Smart), is giving its users one million reasons to celebrate this Christmas with the launch of its “Gifts of Christmas” raffle promo.

From Nov. to Jan. 15, Smart Money users will automatically earn raffle entries whenever they use their accounts to transfer amounts to another Smart Money user, send a ‘Padala’ remittance to their relatives in the country, pay their bills, or reload their Smart or Talk ‘N Text mobile phones.

Even better, users who activated their new Smart Money accounts within the promo period and linked it to their Smart or Talk ‘N Text phones can have bigger chances of winning with more raffle entries per account activated.

Smart e-Money Inc. (SMI) managing director Benjie Fernandez said that Smart Money ‘Gifts of Christmas’ raffle promo shows the mobile money provider’s appreciation for making Smart Money the top mobile money service provider in the country today.

“By getting a Smart Money account, users are opening themselves to a world of safer and easier electronic money transactions which make their lives easier, and bring them closer to their loved ones here and abroad,” Fernandez said.

To get Filipinos to embrace the mobile money lifestyle, Smart Money will be holding events in several malls in Metro Manila where users can sign up for a Smart Money account, use it for transactions, and even win premium items during the on-ground games and activities to be held until December.

Raffle entries earned during and outside the mall events will be collected and entered into an electronic raffle, from which winners will be drawn a week after the end of the promo period.

Users can monitor the total raffle entries they have earned through a text message they will receive after every transaction.

There will be no limit to the number of transactions that will earn raffle entries every day, so keep on using your Smart Money account or availing of Smart Money Padala services for more chances of winning.

One lucky user will win P1 million in Smart Money credits while two other users will win P100,000 each as consolation prizes.

Winners will be notified via registered mail and contacted by official Smart representatives after the raffle draw.
