Maybank treats hearing-impaired children

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Maybank Philippines Inc. (MPI) and Maybank ATR Kim Eng participated in the Maybank Group Global CSR Day through a carnival-themed Family Day and Graduation ceremony for 110 deaf kids of My Children’s House of Hope. The event, led by MPI president and chief executive officer Herminio M. Famatigan Jr. and participated by more than 150 staff of MPI and Maybank ATR Kim Eng, was a circus of colors, entertainment and merriment for the attendees. Dubbed as #CKSaturday, the activity raised employee volunteerism and instilled confidence to the deaf kids through constant interactions with the “hearing” world. Filipino Maybankers were part of over 20,000 Maybank employees from Malaysia, and other offices abroad – including New York, London, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, China, Bahrain, Papua New Guinea and Singapore – that came together to reaffirm their commitment to social development and environmental conservation.
