Citi Phls bags best foreign bank award

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Alpha Southeast Asia has named Citi Philippines as Best Foreign Bank during the Annual Best Financial Institutions Awards.  With this latest win, Citi remains the sole recipient of this honor since the award category was introduced in 2009. Citi Philippines chief executive officer Batara Sianturi (photo) called it “an honor to accept this recognition.” “Our commitment to the Philippines spans over a century of nation-building and financial inclusion. Today, Citi continues this partnership while enabling progress to our institutional and individual clients through providing best-in-class financial products and services. This award celebrates the dedication and hard work of every one of our nearly 7,000 employees on the ground,” Sianturi added. Alpha Southeast Asia magazine editorial adds, “As a multinational bank with presence of over a hundred years and a 99-percent local workforce in the country, Citi is firmly entrenched as the largest foreign commercial bank in the Philippines. The bank is one of the most diversified foreign banks offering a full range of banking services across consumer, corporate, investment and private banking.”
