DBP branches score high in CSC survey

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Four branches of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) -- Naga in Camarines Sur, Bacolod in Negros Occidental, San Jose in Occidental Mindoro, and Tagum in Davao del Norte  --  scored an adjectival  rating of “excellent” in the 2013 Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) Report Card Survey (RCS) initiated by the Civil Service Commission (CSC). CSC administrated the RCS on 929 government offices nationwide last year.  Of these offices, 620 were national government agencies, 303 were government corporations, and six were state universities and colleges. Twenty four DBP branches obtained an adjectival rating of “good” while two received a rating of “acceptable.” According to the CSC, offices that obtained an “excellent” rating increased from eight percent in 2012 (50 out of 599 surveyed) to 18 percent last year (168 service offices out of 929 surveyed).  Offices subjected to the anti-red tape test are chosen based on high-density and by targeting the most complained of service offices nationwide.
