The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) has formed a partnership with Korea’s NongHyup Bank to offer a faster and reliable way to send money between Korea and the Philippines. The partnership is expected to benefit the growing number of overseas Filipino workers in Korea, as well as Korean nationals in the Philippines. Aside from providing a faster highway for money remittances, customers of both banks can expect competitive exchange rates and service fees. NongHyup Bank has the widest nationwide distribution of 1,189 branches in Korea and operates the fourth largest deposit base among Korean banks. As for Metrobank, the partnership with NongHyup is an opportunity to give better service to the growing base of Filipinos in Korea. Photo shows Metrobank president Fabian Dee and Nonghyup Bank head of corporate division Jeong Mo Lee sealing the partnership.
