Metrobank receives outstanding employer award

MANILA, Philippines - Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) was awarded the Bronze Award for the Employer of the Year category in the recently held 2013 Retail Banking Awards. The Asian Banking and Finance magazine annually recognizes the best of the best in the banking and finance industry through several categories. The Search for Outstanding Metrobankers, an employee recognition program merited a bronze for the Employer Award of the Year category. The Search for Outstanding Metrobankers was a special employee loyalty award given as part of the bank’s 50th anniversary. Out of the over 10,000 Metrobank employees in local and international branches and offices, 562 individuals were nominated and assessed by the Search for Outstanding Metrobankers committees. After the long search and deliberation, 50 extraordinary Metrobankers were recognized and honored based not just on their performance but also on their ability to influence and empower their fellow employees.
