EastWest issues Visa debit card

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - EastWest Banking Corp. has issued recently the EastWest Visa Debit Card, an ideal cashless tool for families with relatives working overseas who regularly send hard-earned money to their loved ones in the country.

EastWest made the card easier to use, and more secure for receiving money from overseas, through the Visa Personal Payments (VPP) facility.

This allows remittance beneficiaries to receive funds straight to their EastWest Visa Debit Card within minutes.

The funds received can instantly be used to pay bills or withdraw from over 1.9 million Visa-accepted ATMs worldwide.

VPP is currently available at the United Arab Emirates through Visa’s designated remittance partner, UAE Exchange.

The card can also be used for cashless shopping and for dining at any merchant worldwide that accepts Visa cards, as well as for buying products online.

By enrolling for EastWest’s Internet and mobile banking service, cardholders can start using their debit card to settle their utilities, phone, cable TV and credit card bills, as well as pay for their British Embassy visa application, and Easytrip and E-Pass reloads.

They also have the option to use the card for bills payment through all EastWest Bank and BancNet ATMs.

Consumers can secure the card by opening a deposit account at any of EastWest’s stores nationwide.

For inquiries, clients may call EastWest’s 24-hour customer service hotline at 888-1700.
