PhilCare offers mobile app

MANILA, Philippines - Members of PhilhealthCare Inc. (PhilCare) can access a comprehensive and updated list of about 700 affiliated hospitals, clinics and doctors with the launch of the PhilCare Mobile App compatible with any device powered by Android 2.3.3 or higher. The mobile app, downloadable via the PhilCare website, also allows members to search for the name, address and specialization of all 14,000 PhilCare-affiliated doctors and dentists through this application. PhilCare, which recently celebrated its 30th year in the industry, is the first health maintenance provider to bring this kind of service to its members. “The launch of the mobile app is only one of the many innovations lined up by PhilCare for its 200,000 members. In exploring ways for our members to efficiently receive easy and accessible health care information, the app provides members a quick, convenient and effective means to access the complete database of PhilCare-affiliated health providers,” Jaeger L. Tanco, PhilCare executive vice president and chief operations officer (COO), said. PhilCare is the health management organization (HMO) subsidiary of Philippines First Group of Companies, which includes Philippines First Insurance Co. (PFIC) and PhilPlans Inc.
