Bankard introduces the 'Analyzer'
MANILA, Philippines - A credit cardholder who lacks discipline in monitoring his spending habits can easily lose track of where exactly his money is going. A typical monthly statement only lists your purchases for your validation, but it doesn’t reveal if your spending pattern goes more on food, gas or groceries every month.
This is what RCBC, through its servicing entity Bankard Inc., now offers its cardholders – a new and first-of-its kind feature called the Spend Analyzer. Printed in the monthly statement of account, the Spend Analyzer is designed to give you a clear picture of the items or services you purchased for a particular month using your RCBC Bankard credit card.
Instead of simply listing your purchased items, the Spend Analyzer groups them into distinct categories: supermarket for groceries; department store/apparel for clothing and accessories; dining for restaurants, bars, and fastfood bills; motoring for gas and automotive services; medical for medicines, healthcare and hospital expenses; utilities for electricity, water, telco, cable TV and the like; and others for cash advances, installment and other transactions.
According to Bankard president and chief executive officer Oscar B. Biason, the Spend Analyzer demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovate and serve its customers better.
“We are constantly looking at ways to empower our cardholders and make their lives better, more convenient and enjoyable with the help of our card products,” Biason added.
The innovative Spend Analyzer feature makes the RCBC Bankard statement more hardworking than other credit card statements. Together with a portion that records your total card usage from January to-date of a given year, your simple notice of monthly dues now becomes a comprehensive funds management tool that will guide you in understanding your monthly as well as your year-to-date spending.
With better awareness of your habits comes a sharpened sense of spending direction, better financial planning ability, and greater appreciation of the benefits of having an RCBC Bankard credit card.
