Manila microfinance summit in July

MANILA, Philippines - The Banking with the Poor Network (BWTP), the SEEP Network, ADA, The Foundation for Development Cooperation (FDC) and the Microfinance Council of the Philippines (MCPI), will convene the fourth annual Asia Network Summit (ANS) 2011 scheduled for July 26 - 27, 2011, in Manila. The ANS 2011 will mark the fourth annual meeting of microfinance networks from across Asia and be held in conjunction with the MCPI conference. In light of current challenges, the ANS 2011 provides an opportunity for the sector to consider ways in which collaboration can enhance efforts to build a stronger, more transparent and client-focused sector. The summit will build on last year’s successful meeting in Colombo where participants from 12 Asian networks participated in workshops and active dialogue on a range of issues, including extending regional network cooperation.
