Globe ties up with Belgacom

MANILA, Philippines - PingPing, Belgacom’s mobile payment platform, has linked up with G-Xchange Inc. (GXI), a subsidiary of Globe Telecommunications subsidiary, for its international mobile money transfer service in the Philippines.

Transfers to the Philippines are offered at competitive fees and with the lowest foreign exchange rate in the market.

The 4420 service allows subscribers of any mobile operator, that have opened a PingPing account, to transfer money, via the mobile phone or the Internet, to a Globe subscriber. This greatly increases the convenience for both the sender, who can remit anytime and anywhere, and the receiver, whose GCash account is credited immediately.

The 4420 service will be extended in the near future towards other receiving markets like Morocco, Rwanda and Pakistan.
