BPI awards

MANILA, Philippines - The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) was awarded the Best Retail Bank in the Philippines for the eighth time and Best Mobile Phone Banking Award, driven by its pioneering mobile banking facility.

The awards were given by The Asian Banker during its annual Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards 2010 held this year at the JW Marriott, Shanghai.

“BPI has implemented highly innovative and comprehensive strategy for both the banked and unbanked sector with a clear focus on payment solutions. It has achieved higher growth rates than any of the nominees in the field and is among the few that rewards clients for each transaction they make,” said Chris Kapfer, head of the Retail Financial Services Awards Program of The Asian Banker.
