Manulife executives honored

MANILA, Philippines - Manulife Philippines vice president and chief investment officer Aira Gaspar and fixed income director Anthony Garces were named among the “Most Astute Investors in Local Currency Bonds 2009” in The Asset Benchmark Research survey.

It is second consecutive year for Gaspar and Garces in the same category. Other fixed income professionals from Manulife who were also named in the awards.

Other Manulife portfolio managers who were praised among the top professional investors in their country were: Victoria Ip-Cheung, Paula Chan and Ronald Chan, all from Hong Kong; Djumala Sutedja from Indonesia, and Akira Okada from Singapore. The annual survey, now in its 11th year, asks sell-side analysts to nominate the fund managers they consider to be the most astute investors across the Asia region.
