Peralta named WFDFI secretary general

MANILA, Philippines - Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) secretary general Octavio B. Peralta has been named secretary general of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions (WFDFI).

Peralta will be the second Filipino in WFDFI’s 30-year history to become secretary general of the umbrella organization of development financial institutions (DFIs). The first was Orlando B. Peña, who served the same post from 1995 to 1998.

Aside from ADFIAP, other member organizations of the WFDFI are: the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions, the African Association of Development Financing Institutions, and the Association of National Development Finance Institutions in Member Countries of the Islamic Development Bank.
