SLAMC AUMs hit P14.3 billion
MANILA, Philippines - The Sun Life Asset Management Co. Inc. (SLAMC) has reported that its assets under management (AUMs) reached a total of P14.3 billion as of August 2009.
SLAMC is the asset management arm of Sun Life Financial in the Philippines.
Total AUMs was P12.2 billion at the start of the year.
Its gross sales increased by a hefty 486 percent, from P 422 million in January to P2.5 billion in August.
Net sales, meanwhile, jumped by 287 percent from P56 million in January to P217 million in August, based on latest reports from the Investment Companies Association of the Philippines (ICAP).
SLAMC currently ranks number two in overall industry standing in terms of gross and net sales.
In terms of the performance of each Sun Life Prosperity Funds (each mutual fund mananged by SLAMC) year-to-date (YTD) returns gained headway with the Philippine Equity Fund garnering the biggest YTD returns of 40.08 percent as of October 15, 2009.
This is followed by the Balanced Fund with a YTD yield of 19.59 percent and the Dollar Abundance Fund with 17.26 percent.
The Dollar Advantage Fund registered at 8.73 percent, the Government Securities Fund at 7.2 percent, the Bond Fund at 5.15 percent, and the Money Market Fund at 1.28 percent.
