MANILA, Philippines - Citibank Japan has stopped sales for a month, including advertising, sales campaigns and solicitation, at its retail banking division for one month in line with an order from the Financial Services Agency (FSA) over its slack money laundering controls.
The FSA said the bank failed to stop crime syndicates and other “antisocial” bodies from opening hundreds of accounts.
