Metrobank expands ATM network

-

MANILA, Philippines – The Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) had established 25 new automated teller machines (ATMs) in key areas nationwide. Of the total, 10 were installed within Metro Manila, eight in Luzon, five in Visayas, and two in Mindanao.

Likewise, 23 are off-site ATMs that will provide customers with secure and convenient access to their basic banking needs outside a branch.

That brings the total consolidated network to over a thousand ATMs nationwide, including the 214 ATMs of the Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank).

Metrobank is a member of BancNet, which gives depositors the widest access to over 9,000 BancNet ATMs nationwide, and enables interbank fund transfer to a BancNet member bank.

Abroad, Metrobank ATM cardholders can use their cards to withdraw cash at any of the over one million Cirrus-Maestro (Mastercard) ATMs in more than 21 countries.

“The expansion is also one of the bank’s initiatives to improve operational efficiency, especially in the areas of optimizing delivery channels to our customers,” Metrobank director and national branch banking sector head Fabian S. Dee.

It has a consolidated network of 719 domestic branches. It plans to open more branches this year in the provinces of North and Central Luzon, Eastern and Western Visayas, and Western Mindanao.

In addition to its ATM service, Metrobank offers other electronic banking channels to provide clients with as much convenience as possible, such as Metrophone Banking, Mobile Banking, and metrobankdirect online banking.
