ADB chief speaks at AIM

Asian Development Bank president Haruhiko Kuroda is the key speaker on Oct. 26 at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).

The Gov. Jose B. Fernandez Jr. Center for Banking and Finance of the Asian Institute of Management organized the Gov. Jose B. Fernandez Memorial Lecture with Kuroda as the highlight speaker.

The lecture is the highlight activity of the Center, providing a forum for world-renowned leaders and experts from the government and private sectors to discuss contemporary issues of particular relevance to the banking and finance community.

The much-anticipated memorial lecture regularly attracts an audience comprised of key decision-makers from the Philippines’ most important corporations and financial institutions; as well as from the academe, government and diplomatic community.

Previous lecturers have been Gerald Corrigan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Toyoo Gyohten, special economic adviser to the Prime Minister of Japan, and Michel Camdessus, former managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

This year, Kuroda will deliver the 4th Gov. Fernandez Memorial Lecture and share his insights and experiences on Asian economic and financial integration.

The lecture will be held on Oct. 26, 2005 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila, Ayala Avenue, Makati.
