Buenaventura will be joined in the affair’s guest list by chief executives from the differing business sectors including finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, trade, securities, power generation and distribution, agriculture and agribusiness, and the capital markets.
Judging the hundreds of entries is a panel of judges composed of individuals highly respected in their sectors.
They are: Lilia R. Bautista, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); Salvador H. Escudero III, former secretary of agriculture and presently president of the Foundation for Upgrading the Standard of Education (FUSE); Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis Jr., president of the Philippine Exporters Confederation (PhilExport) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI); Epitacio R. Marquez, president and chief executive officer of Capitol Wireless Inc. (Capwire Telecommunications) and the Philippine Chamber of Telecommunication Operators; and Thomas Crouch, Philippine country director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Tabulation of the results of the judging process will be undertaken by the highly-respected SGV & Co.
