Metrobank opens branches on holidays
December 25, 2001 | 12:00am
Understanding the need of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to send money to their relatives here in the Philippines during the Christmas season, Metrobank, the countrys leading bank, will be opening 175 of its branches on traditionally non-banking days during the holiday season.
According to bank senior executive vice president Angelito M. Villanueva, "This is our way of making Christmas merrier for our depositors and remittance clients. We have made this an annual service to allow them to claim their remittance during holidays in December, which are traditionally non-banking days."
Certain Metrobank branches nationwide will be open on Dec. 22, 24, 29, 30 and 31 to accommodate deposits and remittances from abroad, which may also be withdrawn through any of the 463 Metrobank E.T.s or BancNets 1,447 ATMs nationwide.
These branches will be open at varying banking hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. For further details, call your depository branch.
