The training was conducted from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1 at the training room of the Cambodia Mekong Bank Head Office in Phnom Penh.
Twenty-five credit officers representing 18 of the 20 commercial banks in Cambodia attended the five-day training.
The program was conducted in order to bring the latest "best practices" of SME lending in Cambodia based on the model of Planters Development Bank in SME Financing.
The training is part of the continuing human resource development for member-banks of the Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) under the auspices of the Bank Training Center Project of the MPDF.
The MPDF is an international Finance Corp. (IFC)-managed development facility operating in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The IFC is the investment arm of the World Bank.
The principal resource person was Reynaldo Feria, vice president of Plantersbank, and assisted by Victor Abainza, program director of the PDCenter.
