MANILA, Philippines - The attached agency of Department of Agriculture (DA), Agribusiness and Marketing Service Assistance (DA-AMAS), will participate in Agrilink Foodlink Aqualink, from Oct. 15 to 17 at the World Trade Center.
“This is in line with our efforts and programs to provide a unified market development, investment assistance and promotion services mechanism to farmers and stakeholders in order to enhance agribusiness development and competitiveness in support to the DA’s market efficiency and food security agenda,” said DA-AMAS director Bernadette San Juan.
Among the projects DA-AMAS will highlight include the Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), which will prioritize agricultural investments in the local level to spur economic development that fosters inclusive growth among small farmers and fisher folk.
“PRDP is a six-year national project that aims to establish a modern, inclusive, value-chain oriented, and climate resilient agriculture and fisheries sector,” San Juan said.
