Seaweed king Benson Dakay passes away in US

MANILA, Philippines - Seaweed king Benson Uy Dakay, chief executive officer of Shemberg Marketing Corporation, Shemberg Biotech Corporation and Shemberg Food Ingredients, peacefully died at the age of 56 in Los Angeles, California from cancer.
He is survived by his wife Rosemary Tan Dakay, and children, Pierre Collin, Benson Ernest Jr., Marie Cecille “Rere” and Mary Anne Rose “Meme”.
His body is still currently in Los Angeles and is expected to be flown back to Cebu City in the next 10 to 12 days. His remains will be brought to Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes, Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City.
