Environment-friendly Isuzu vehicles featured at motor show

MANILA, Philippines - Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) was among the carmakers that exhibited their vehicles at the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) held from Aug. 19 to 22 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Isuzu’s corporate philosophy was a perfect match for the motor show’s theme this year, “Drive the Green Road.” Not only is Isuzu famous for fuel-efficient diesel-powered commercial vehicles, it is also known for championing environment-related causes. “Isuzu’s mission is to provide the cleanest, most fuel-efficient diesels developed in the most cost-effective way benefiting our valued customers,” said IPC president Ryoji Yamazaki.

At the PIMS, Isuzu displayed special editions of these vehicles. There was a special-edition ebony black D-MAX, featuring a black-and-red leather interior, a 2-DIN touch-screen entertainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and GPS navigation, floor/key illumination, a scuff plate, bed-liner, and taillight garnish. A sterling silver D-Max 4x4 LT complemented the exclusive D-MAX.

There was also a special-edition magma red Sportivo, boasting a single-disc in-dash audio-video system with a 7-inch touch-screen LCD and GPS navigation, as well as a Carryboy roof rack. The third special-edition Isuzu vehicle on display was a starry black Alterra equipped with a 2-DIN touch-screen entertainment package (also with Bluetooth connectivity and GPS navigation), a ceiling-mounted LCD monitor, a front chin, and a rear chin.

Rounding out the Isuzu booth exhibit were an alpine white, 16-seater NHR Microbus and an alpine white NKR truck powered by a Euro 2-compliant 4.6-liter turbodiesel engine.

These same vehicles are on display at Isuzu dealers nationwide.
