MANILA, Philippines - The country’s first Farm Business School recently received support from AC Corp. with a donation of P10,000 given to MFI Foundation’s Livelihood Education and Agribusiness Fund (LEAF).
MFI has partnered with the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) and the University of Rizal System to offer the ladderized BS Entrepreneurial Management major in Farm Business. Its first batch of students was accepted into the program this past June at the MFI Farm Business Institute in Jala-Jala, Rizal.
Here, students live on-campus and are given intensive on-farm training along with management-related courses. The students are encouraged to start profit-making projects during the course of their study.
MFI Foundation (formerly Meralco Foundation) is a non-stock nonprofit organization that has served in the area of training and education for 35 years, while AC Corporation is a company with projects in petroleum services as well as IT.
Both MFI and AC are members of MAP which owns and promotes the concept of a Barm Business School.
