WEAP confab to focus on water

MANILA, Philippines – The Water Environment Association of the Philippines (WEAP) Inc. hold its 4th annual convention on the theme “Protecting the Water Environment for a Better Life” at the Camp John Hay Trade and Cultural Center in Baguio City on July 23-24.

WEAP is a member association of the Water Environment Federation of the United States.

Roger Borja is the WEAP president Daniel P. Fadiño Jr. and Armemio F. Baylosis will be convention chairman and vice-chairman respectively.

Among the issues to be tackled are Balik Scientist Research on Ground Water Pollution, Baguio City Water District Watershed Management Experience, Planning and Design of Sewage Treatment Plant, Master Planning of Sewerage System, Natural Resources Valuation and Water Leak Detection System.

After the resource speakers’ presentation, open fora will be held to enable convention delegates and practitioners to take part in discussions of issues.
