MFI sets seminar on coffee

MANILA, Philippines - The MFI Foundation Inc. through its Farm Business Institute, in cooperation with the Multi-Sectoral Management Development Corp., will conduct a seminar on coffee on March 19-20 at the MFI Bldg. Ortigas Ave. Pasig City.

The seminar aims to present potential agri-business ventures to participants.

Topics include: brief history of coffee, industry problems and solutions, agronomy of coffee production, organic coffee production, rehabilitation of the Phil. Coffee industry, cost and return analysis and sources of financing, coffee marketing, facts, quotes and misquotes about coffee, coffee and health, coffee program of Nestle. Field trip to coffee farms in Amadeo, Cavite and Cavite Coffee Research Center, Cavite State University.

Seminar fee is P3,000/person. This includes lunch and two snacks for March 19 and seminar materials and tokens and P500/ person transportation cost for the field trip on March 20.
