Vitarich dressing plant earns ISO certification

Vitarich Corp. in partnership with ALT Trading took the food processing industry to a higher level with its newly-established integrated management system (IMS) for its poultry dressing plant in Marilao, Bulacan.

Recently, the Vitarich dressing plant was certified by Certification International as conforming to the requirements of ISO 9001 for Quality Management System, ISO 22000 for Food Safety Management System, IS0 14001 for Environmental Management System, and OHSAS 18001 for Occupational Health and Safety.

“We at Vitarich highly value these awards and having our quality management systems and facilities to be declared as ISO-certified, further inspires us to reach new and higher goals,” said Vitarich marketing director Ricardo Manuel Sarmiento. “We are happy to partner with ALT who shares the same vision of Vitarich and also possesses high standards in the field of food processing.”

“The integrated management system was established to ensure top quality service for our clients and top quality poultry products for our consumers. Also, it is to ensure that Filipino consumers will have safe chickens to eat,” said Steve Allen Tycangco, VP for operations of ALT Trading and chairman of the IMS team. “It is our obligation to make sure that a safe and healthy work place is provided for our people and a clean environment for the community.”
