RP food exports seen to draw int'l attention at Agrilink '08
The country’s world-class food products are set to draw international attention at the forthcoming Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink 2008, which is slated at the World Trade Center Metro Manila on Oct. 9-11.
At least 14 members of the Philippine Food Processors and Exporters Organization Inc. (Philfoodex) are joining this international event to expand their exposure to the local and global markets.
They will have their own pavilion at Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink to showcase their products, according to PhilFoodEx president Roberto Amores.
“We are excited to be part of this event and we’re looking forward to brisk business, just like last year,” Amores said.
The Philoodex pavilion at Agrilink will feature a vast diversity of products from the 14 companies, all highlighting the event’s theme “Sustaining Agricultural Growth through Niche Markets.”
The 14 exhibiting firms are Hero Great Bites, Marventure Corp., Hi-Las Marketing Corp., Fisher Farms Inc., See’s Int’l Manufacturing Corp, Marikina Food Corp., Majestic Ham & Food Products, Mega Fishing Corp., Navarro Foods Int’l, Tita Marina’s Bangus Atbp, Toscano Food Industy, Billies Marketing, Master J Food Products, and Gourmet Farms Inc.
Their products will be arrayed with thousands of others from hundreds of local and foreign exhibitors at Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink, the country’s biggest and most prestigious annual international trade show on agribusiness, food and aquaculture. The trade show is being co-organized by the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development (FRLD) with some 20 national trade associations.
More details of the event can be obtained from FRLD (tel. 8384549, 8384852, fax 8384573 or email [email protected]).
With ABS-CBN as media partner, the event is also supported by the Department of Agriculture, National Agricultural and Fishery Council, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and the French Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (Le Club).
This three-day event will include seminars, live animal and plant display and other activities that generate business and boost the growth of the country’s agribusiness, food and aquaculture industries.
