Leading poultry and livestock feeds supplier Univet Agricultural Products Inc. will launch two breakthrough products that can prevent hog cholera and shorten the growing period for pigs.
The two products are Coglapest anti-cholera vaccine and the new and improved Early Wean Super Start. Both will be launched at Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink 2008, according to Univet general manager Ricardo Alba.
“We’re excited about what Agrilink is cooking up this year. And to be a part of that is such an honor,” Alba said.
Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink constitute the country’s biggest and most prestigious annual international trade show on agribusiness, food and aquaculture.
Slated at the World Trade Center on Oct. 9-11, the triple events will feature Univet’s Coglapest and Early Wean Superstart among the thousands of products, services and technologies of hundreds of other local and foreign exhibiting firms.
Coglapest is a highly potent vaccine that fully protects hogs from cholera without causing post-vaccination reactions. The product also reduces the risk of horizontal disease spread and reversion to virulence.
Early Wean Super Start, the recommended follow-on feed for Univet’s Early Wean Immunoboosters, is specifically developed to meet essential nutrient needs of piglets at pre-starter age.Early Wean Super Start contains Probio Plus, an advance formula that promotes exceptional nutrient absorption and conversion for optimum growth, enabling raisers to achieve the desired market weight in a shorter period. Other products geared at improving agribusiness efficiency and profitability will also be showcased at Agrilink, Foodlink and Aqualink, which are being organized by the Foundation for Resource Linkage and Development (FRLD).Agrilink 2008, according to FRLD president Antonio V. Roces, will offer the largest assembly of the world’s latest technologies, products, services and systems on agribusiness.
