A musical competition will be held on June 29,
The competition, dubbed
The theme of the competition is “Not cool to be CO2L” picking up from the United Nations Environment Programme’s theme of “CO2: Kick the habit! Towards a low carbon economy” for World Environment Day.
Participating groups must be composed of Filipinos or of Filipino descent, aged 15 to 35 years, and bonafide residents of the particular LGU that the group represents. Amateurs and professional bands may join the competition, as long as they do not have prior or existing recording contracts with any music company.
Criteria for judging shall be based on the overall performance (50 percent), creativity as to style and interpretation, relevance to theme and originality (35 percent) and audience impact and rapport (15 percent).
A total of P90,000.00 in cash prizes will be given to the winners of the competition.
