Training for pollution control officers set

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau-NCR and the Water Environment Association of the Philippines Inc. will conduct a Basic Training Course for New Pollution Control Officers (PCO) to enable the various industries to improve their environmental management and pollution prevention to bring about cleaner production.

NCR Director Ramon Aguilar, who will spearhead the training program, said the training program will be held Feb. 5-8, at Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon City.

He said the four-day seminar will orient the PCO trainees on the different environmental laws and their corresponding rules and regulations, EMB policies and programs and PCO duties and responsibilities.
