The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environment Management Bureau (NCR) and the Water Environment Association of the Philippines (WEAP) will conduct a basic training course for new pollution control officers (PCO) on Oct. 16-19 at the Jade Valley Cantonese Cuisine, Timog Ave., Quezon Ave., Quezon City.
The four-day seminar will orient prospective PCOs on different environmental laws and rules and regulations, EMB policies and programs, and PCO duties and responsibilities.
EMB-NCR Director Ramon Aguilar will spearhead the training aimed at enabling industrial firms in the NCR to improve their environmental management, pollution prevention and cleaner production processes.
