High-tech filtration system introduced

-

Electromex has produced a water refilling station that makes use of a high-tech filtration system similar to what Viva, Summit and Evian are using, namely, full-time heavy-duty ozone generation, microfiltration and ultraviolet (UV) sterilization.

The Electromex UHP500 is an environmentally-friendly water-refilling process that doesn’t need any expensive membranes and salt that discards seven out of 10 gallons of water like in the obsolete backwashing of reverse osmosis, which is unprofitable, slow and expensive, costing P3 per gallon to operate.

The system, which works with deep wells except those with salt water and oil contamination, is a transportable, plug and play, standalone system priced at P150,000 and comes with a one-year warranty and can be carried by three men and easily fits in a small pickup truck. The unit is fully assembled and comes complete with the stainless tanks, pumps, filters, UV germicidal lamp and heavy duty ozonator, which kills bacteria and removes heavy meals (lead, mercury, etc.) on contract.

Measuring 4ft x 3ft x 6ft and weighing 180 kgs, the system is skid mounted and uses a 2-hp 220-volt motor. All that it needs is a garden hose connected to an external water source.

The UHP500 can process five gallons per minute of pure mineral, non-acidic (alkaline base), healthy, clean water or 3,000 gallons per 10-hour period at a cost of only 30 centavos per gallon.
