The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environment Management Bureau (NCR) and the Water Environment Association of the Philippines Inc. (WEAP) will conduct a basic training course for new pollution control officers (PCO) on Aug. 28-31 at the Great Eastern Hotel’s Aberdeen Court on Quezon Ave., Quezon City.
The four-day seminar will orient prospective PCOs on different environmental laws and rules and regulations, EMB policies and programs, and PCO duties and responsibilities.
Director Ramon Aguilar will spearhead the training to enable industrial firms to improve their environmental management, pollution prevention and cleaner production.
